Description
It is the largest art museum of Andalusia, considered the second most important of Spain, at least in terms of national painting authors. Established as the Museo de Bellas Artes de Sevilla in September 1835, was officially inaugurated in 1841. It is located in the Plaza del Museo, which is chaired by a sculpture dedicated to Bartolomé Esteban Murillo. As a Museum it is crucial to know the Seville Baroque painting, particularly that of Zurbarán, Murillo and Valdés Leal, as well as the Andalusian painting in the nineteenth century.
